Horseshoe & Farrier Supplies was formed in 1983 by Alan Dugmore trading from his garage at home. Originally the only brands sold were Baker Horseshoes, Mustad nails, Nicholson & Simonds Rasps together with Diamond and Buffalo Tools. In the early days Alan use to be here there and everywhere. I am sure that many of our older customers remember him calling round, originally in the old Mini, and later in the Ford Transit Pick up. We moved to our existing premises in 1987 and have continuously increased our products to the range that we stock today. These days the 'Old Man' takes more of a back seat and lets his sons, Steve and David -see below- do most of the day to day running of the company.

Steve Dugmore joined his Dad in the Company in 1988. Initially, Steve used to do the deliveries, but these days is responsible for the warehouse, maintaining the stock and looking after the orders that are sent out by carrier together with serving the many personal customers who call and collect their goods on a regular basis.

Liz Humphreys joined the Company in 1991 and is responsible for keeping the accounts (and ourselves) on the straight and narrow. If anybody, Customer or Supplier, has an account query, Liz is the person to sort it out.

David Dugmore joined us in 1992 and is more often than not, out delivering. David is the one that the majority of our customers meet on his travels. He does deliveries to as far a field as Durham, Devon, Sussex, Suffolk and Essex. When he is not out delivering David helps out in the warehouse.
